Leveraging Innovative Technologies for Climate Action in Agriculture
To effectively address the challenges posed by climate change, the agricultural sector can harness innovative technologies that enhance resilience, improve productivity, and reduce environmental impacts. Collaborating with our more than 200 partners, IICA is in the best position to take advantage of the following:

Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA)
Increase productivity while enhancing resilience to climate change: Adoption of Climate-Resilient Crops, conservation agriculture improving soil health, efficient water systems and carbon sequestration, and agroforestry.

Precision Agriculture (PA)
The use of big data, satellite imagery, drones and IoT sensors to analyze weather patterns, monitor crop health and optimize natural resources use.

Digital Agriculture (DA)
Mobile Apps and digital solutions provide farmers with access to updated information on weather, market and best practices, while improving the market of Ag Techs in the Hemisphere.

Regenerative Agriculture (RA)
Supporting the principles of circular economy, restoring soil health, enhancing biodiversity and improving ecosystem services. The creation of closed-loop systems improving resource efficiency and waste reduction in agriculture supports environmental goals and offers economic advantages.
Our approach of “working together" can lead to scaling up innovative technologies and to the development of robust agricultural systems in the Americas capable of withstanding climate variability while ensuring food security around the Globe.
